The magnificent Tiger is the National animal of India. Tiger is a symbol of India’s wealth of wildlife. The tiger was chosen as the National animal because of its grace, power, agility, alertness, strength & intelligence. The Royal Bengal tigers are found throughout the country except north-west region. “Project Tiger ” was launched in 1973 to check the dwindling population of tigers in India.
